Job summary

Scenthound is seeking a Dog Groomer in Rosemount, MN to provide grooming services to clients. This W2 role offers an hourly wage plus tips and an existing client base as the company grows.

If you have at least one year of grooming experience or a grooming school credential, you could join our team. You must lift up to 70 pounds, have reliable transportation, and be available Saturdays.

Qualifications

• At least one year of grooming experience or graduation from a grooming school.
• Knowledge of dog breeds, care standards, and tools of the trade.
• Strength to lift up to 70 pounds; stamina to stand for long periods of time.
• Reliable transportation; willing to work in a smoke-free environment.
• Available to work Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Groom to Scenthound standards.
• Perform puppy cuts with a neat all-over length and face.
• Create an environment conducive to learning, open communication, and teamwork.
• Identify when/where help is needed and assist to keep schedule.
• Ensure dog and team safety at all times; follow sanitation practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Scenter Manager.

About the Position:

The Dog Groomer is an integral position at Scenthound, offering grooming knowledge and providing grooming services to clients. Even if you are new to the dog grooming industry with some experience, this position may be perfect for you! This is a W2 position with an hourly wage plus tips. We have a client base already, and we are growing memberships every day!

This Dog Groomer position requires:

• Available to work Saturdays, we are closed on Sunday.
• ScentTech duties as needed based on scheduling needs.

Tasks

• Groom to Scenthound standards.
• All we do are puppy cuts; one length all-over with a neat face.
• Create an environment conducive to learning, open communication, and teamwork
• Identify when/ where help is needed and provide assistance to keep Scenter on schedule
• Ensure the safety of dogs and team members at all times
• Adhere to Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Scenter Manager
