About The Position

The Dog Groomer is an integral position at Scenthound, offering grooming knowledge and providing grooming services to clients. We are excited to be the first Scenthound in Minnesota in Lakeville, and we are expanding to other communities in the south metro this year! Advancement opportunities will be available! Even if you are new to the dog grooming industry with some experience, this position may be perfect for you! This is a W2 position with an hourly wage plus tips, and we will be offering health insurance. We have an existing client base, and we are growing memberships every day!

Requirements

• At least one year of grooming experience or graduation from a grooming school
• Knowledge of dog breeds, care standards, and tools of the trade
• Strength to lift up to 70 pounds; stamina to stand for long periods
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment
• Availability to work on Saturdays; we are closed on Sundays
• Willingness to perform ScentTech duties as needed based on scheduling

Who We Are Looking For

We seek a confident dog groomer who loves grooming dogs! The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, perceptive, patient, adaptable, and a compassionate dog lover. We want a motivated groomer to join our team!

Tasks

• Groom to Scenthound standards, focusing on puppy cuts (one length all-over with a neat face)
• Create an environment conducive to learning, open communication, and teamwork
• Identify when help is needed and assist to keep schedules on track
• Ensure the safety of dogs and team members at all times
• Adhere to sanitary and cleaning practices
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Scenter Manager
