Join ABF Freight as a Full-time Dockworker

Now is your chance to join one of the country's largest and most trusted LTL carriers: ABF Freight is looking for new Full-time Dockworkers who will receive paid training to obtain their Class A CDL, at no cost to the employee!

ABF Freight is seeking self-motivated, hardworking, and energetic Dock Workers to join our team and eventually become Class A CDL drivers through our Driver Development Program. Our Dock Workers ensure freight is received and delivered in excellent condition, emphasizing customer satisfaction, efficiency, and skill to ensure timely shipments.

Job Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trailers, transporting cargo, operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other freight handling equipment
• Using mobile technology effectively and efficiently
• Completing all required paperwork
• Performing duties as assigned, which may vary by terminal location
• After driver training, taking on duties as a City Driver (Full-Time, Combined Dock/P and D)

Job Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old to obtain a Class A CDL
• Stable work history
• Clean driving and safety record
• Passing pre-employment drug screening and physical examination
• Attending ABF Freight Driver Development Program and obtaining Class A CDL within 9 months of hire
• Availability to work varied shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, depending on location
