Job summary

Restaurant Associates is hiring a Dishwasher in Boston, MA. The role maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, and kitchen areas in a sanitary condition to support smooth kitchen operations.

The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with a pay range of $18.00–$19.00 per hour. Previous dishwashing experience is preferred, and benefits are provided according to Compass Group policies.

Qualifications

• Previous dishwashing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes; wash them by hand or place them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polish silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with outlined safety procedures.
• Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
• Keep dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Remove trash and place it in designated containers. Steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Help load and unload supplies and product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
