Job summary

Flik Independent School Dining is hiring a full-time dishwasher at Miss Porter’s School in Farmington, CT. The role involves maintaining dishes, pots, pans, trays, and kitchen areas in a clean and sanitary condition to support a high-quality dining program.

You will work Tuesday–Friday 2:00 pm–8:00 pm and Saturday 11:30 am–7:30 pm, with benefits including meals, uniforms, and laundering services. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a leading school dining program.

Qualifications

• Previous dishwashing experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans and trays and ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polishes silver using appropriate equipment and keeps areas sanitized.
• Maintains safety procedures and proper chemical levels.
• Keeps dish area orderly and clean.
• Cleans kitchen floors, worktables, walls and prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and transfers supplies between storage and work areas.
• Assists with loading/unloading supplies and other duties as assigned.
