Job summary

CADES is a nonprofit human services organization serving individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities in Bucks County, PA. We seek Direct Support Professionals to implement support plans and provide essential personal care for adults in community living settings.

Responsibilities include supervising per ISP, meal prep, hygiene, transportation, and medication administration, while maintaining a safe environment and accurate logs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience or interest in working with individuals with multiple disabilities.
• Ability to assist with physical activities and personal care.
• Ability to implement Individual Support Plans (ISP).
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Professional interaction with individuals, staff and caregivers.
• Ability to perform daily care duties such as feeding, toileting and dressing.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and supervision as noted in ISP for each individual.
• Create a family living atmosphere for individuals.
• Attend to personal hygiene and appropriate clothing.
• Prepare meals according to dietary needs.
• Maintain adequate food/drink supplies.
• Develop monthly activity programs for individuals.
• Handle laundry and organize clothing.
• Provide transportation for individuals.
• Prepare and deliver day service materials and equipment.
• Operate and care for adaptive and medical equipment, reporting issues.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for individuals and staff.
• Complete agency forms and submit receipts timely.
• Administer medications per agency protocol and maintain logs.
