Valley Hope of Norton, located in northwest Kansas, is seeking a dedicated Food Service Specialist I / Dietary Cook for a full-time role. You will ensure safe food handling in kitchen/dining areas and support daily meal prep according to menus, while assisting special diets under nursing direction.

Qualifications

• Required: Food Permit/Handler's Card; or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: One (1) year job or training experience in dietary setting.
• Specialized training in food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe food handling and hygiene in kitchen and dining areas.
• Prepare and support daily meal preparation according to menus and supervisor instructions.
• Assist with special diet needs as ordered by nursing.
• Serve food to patients, visitors, and staff with a professional demeanor.
• Follow state regulations and established guidelines for storage and handling of food.
