Position Summary
This position requires the Dietary Aide to prepare and serve high quality food for hospital patients, employees, and visitors. The Dietary Aide must follow all policies and procedure of the department and hospital with an emphasis on infection control, safety, and sanitation. The Dietary Aide must follow all procedures as they relate to the daily work schedule.

Experience: Two (2) years' experience in healthcare food service preferred.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Suffolk County Department of Health food manager's safety certificate; or valid equivalent certificates issued three (3) years by an approved governmental agency or private corporation preferred. Valid ServSafe food handler certification preferred.
Physical Demands: Ability to use short step ladder. Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds with assistance. Sufficient mobility and dexterity of both arms to safely operate equipment, utensils and retrieve stock inventory items. Ability to work in hot and cold environments. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established based on relevant experience. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents SBEILH’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Your total compensation goes beyond the number in your paycheck!
