Job summary

Lakeshore Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Slidell, LA, part of the Volare Health family, seeks a dependable Dietary Aide. You will assist with food prep, service, and dining area sanitation, verify trays, and monitor temperatures to ensure quality and safety.

Evening shifts with weekend/holiday requirements offer a rewarding team environment. Ideal candidates have a Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification, strong English literacy, dependability, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Requires Food Handler's Permit or ServSafe certification.
• Must read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Positive attitude and respectful interaction with residents, families, and coworkers.
• Dependability, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
• Successful completion of required background screening, drug screening, and reference checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, meal service, and maintaining clean and sanitary kitchen and dining areas.
• Prepare serving areas and ensure plates, warming equipment, and steam tables are properly heated.
• Verify that each resident's tray contains the correct food items, portions, and utensils before delivery.
• Monitor and document food temperatures according to facility standards.
• Ensure meal trays are neatly arranged and supplied with clean silverware, cups, dishes, and covers.
• Monitor meal preparation quantities and communicate shortages or excess to the supervisor.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures.
• Work cooperatively with dietary team members and other facility staff to support residents' nutritional needs.

• Monitor meal preparation quantities, document shortages or excess food, and communicate findings to the supervisor.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures.
• Work cooperatively with dietary team members and other facility staff to support residents' nutritional needs.
