Job summary

Iowa 80 Truckstop INC in Walcott Township, ND is seeking experienced diesel mechanics. Starting pay up to $38.00 per hour based on experience and ASE certifications. The shift is 4pm to Midnight with a $3.00 differential on weekdays and $6.00 on weekends. This is a full-time position with benefits and opportunities for commission and bonuses for ASE certifications. Iowa 80 Truckstop is a stable, family-owned company with a long history of growth.

Qualifications

• At least one full year of hands-on experience.
• Diagnose issues and repairs on HVAC, starting and charging, brakes, cooling, fuel, suspension and electrical systems.
• Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Background check, physical, pre-employment and random drug testing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume shop.

Experienced Diesel Mechanics have the opportunity of starting at up to $38.00 an hour based on experience and ASE Certifications!

4pm to Midnight shifts

Shift differential for hours worked between 4pm and 8am of $3.00 Monday through Friday and $6.00 Saturday and Sunday!

Responsibilities

• Must provide excellent service to our customers
• Completes thorough vehicle inspections and documents any needed repairs
• Inspects quality of work performed to ensure customer satisfaction
• Communicate with Service Writers/Parts Counter Advisors in a friendly and professional manner
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, work safely, and as part of a team.

Requirements

• At least one full year of hands on experience required.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance on Medium/Heavy Trucks and Trailers including but not limited to: Oil Changes, Lube Checks, Coolant Checks, Fluid Checks, Battery, Belts and Hose Checks, Brake Inspections and DOT (federal annual DOT inspections).
• Diagnose issues and repairs of: HVAC, Starting and Charging systems, Brakes, Engine Cooling, Exhaust, Fuel System, Suspension including alignments, Steering, After treatment (DEF and DPF) systems, Air systems and Electrical systems.
• Work well with a team to provide excellent customer service and promote a positive work environment
• Possess tools to properly perform repairs within our scope of service
• Desire to learn and grow professionally
• Have reliable transportation to and from work and valid driver's license.
• Background check – physical – pre-employment and random drug testing
