Job summary

LionStone Care is seeking a Dialysis Technician for Lima Care Community in Lima, OH. This full-time role supports residents receiving dialysis in a long-term care setting, assisting with preparation, delivery, monitoring and completion of treatments under supervision.

You will maintain a safe, clean environment, follow infection control practices, document observations, and communicate with the care team. Requires high school diploma, dialysis training, and BLS/CPR certification; prior dialysis

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of approved dialysis tech training program.
• Current state-required certification/credentialing.
• BLS or CPR certification.
• Prior dialysis or long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong communication with residents, families, clinicians.
• Ability to follow instructions and clinical procedures.
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dialysis treatment area, equipment, supplies, and resident per procedures.
• Setup, operate, clean, disinfect, and maintain dialysis equipment per regulations.
• Assist licensed personnel with dialysis treatments as directed.
• Monitor residents during treatment, report changes or complications to licensed staff.
• Obtain and document vital signs and observations per regulations.
• Maintain documentation related to dialysis treatments and resident care.
• Follow infection prevention practices including hand hygiene and PPE.
• Maintain cleanliness of dialysis equipment and treatment areas.
• Follow facility, provider, manufacturer, OSHA, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with positioning, transferring, transporting, and comfort for residents.
• Observe signs of discomfort or distress and escalate as needed.
• Communicate with nursing staff, residents, families, physicians, and dialysis providers.
• Protect resident privacy and HIPAA compliance.
• Respond to emergencies and follow procedures.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing education.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
