Job summary

Skin Cancer Specialists, part of AQUA Dermatology, seeks a Surgical Medical Assistant in Marietta to support providers during visits and procedures. You will prepare exam rooms, assist with minor procedures, and manage patient information.

Candidates should have MA certification, CPR/First Aid, and hands-on clinical experience; dermatology or surgical exposure is preferred. Travel to Cartersville, Hiram, and Newnan is required; driving distance to Marietta must be feasible.

Qualifications

• 2 years of combined education/experience may substitute for minimum experience.
• Hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
• Dermatology or surgical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms for appointments and stock supplies.
• Engage and focus on the patient experience.
• Gather patient information, informed consent, and payment details.
• Assist physician with minor procedures, charting, imaging uploads, and follow-up scheduling.
• Provide post-care instructions to patients and/ or families.
• Complete pathology and lab requisitions; send specimens to lab.
• Travel to other practices as needed.
• Perform tasks as directed by supervisor.
