Job summary

The Chickasaw Nation Dental Clinic in Ada, Oklahoma, is seeking a Full Time Dental Assistant to join our Dental Services Operations Group at Chickasaw Nation Medical Center. Hours are 7:30 AM–6:00 PM, Tuesday through Friday.

The role provides clinical, clerical, and technical support, assisting dentists, taking x-rays, and maintaining infection control while delivering patient education and quality care.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Certificate in dental assisting preferred.
• At least 1 year of directly related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of dental terminology essential.
• Familiarity with HIPAA rules and privacy standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for procedures and assists dentists during examinations and treatments.
• Takes dental x-rays, ensuring imaging meets diagnostic quality and safety standards.
• Maintains infection control, including instrument sterilization and asepsis.
• Assists with scheduling referrals and manages the patient phone board.
• Inputs and documents patient data in the EMR, including superbill coding and progress notes.
• Educates patients on oral hygiene and provides post-treatment care instructions.
