Job summary

Waikiki Health in Hawaii is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to support the dentist with chairside care, patient preparation, and instrument sterilization.

The role requires completing a dental assisting program, CPR/BLS certification, and proficiency with electronic dental records. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, with a pay rate of $22.50 per hour and benefits including health insurance and retirement plan.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a dental assisting program or equivalent in-office training.
• Strong understanding of standard office dental practices and sterilization procedures.
• Basic computer proficiency to access and update electronic dental records.

Responsibilities

• Four-Handed Dentistry: assist dentist during procedures.
• Prepare patients for treatment and maintain patient flow.
• Infection control: sterilize instruments and maintain operatory cleanliness.
• Take and develop dental radiographs as prescribed.
• Perform lab duties including impressions, models, and trays.
