Qualifications

• One year of full-time chairside dental assistance experience.
• Graduation from high school.
• Valid driver's license at time of appointment.
• Substitutions allowed as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements.
• Legal authorization to work for State of Hawaii.

Responsibilities

• Furnishes chairside assistance to a dentist during dental procedures.
• Cleans and sterilizes dental instruments and equipment.
• Prepares restorative materials for dental treatment of patients.
• Makes appointments and maintains dental records.
• Retracts tongue and cheeks in the operation area.
• Performing related duties as assigned.
