Overview

Compensation - $17-$18 + OT

The full-time Truck Driver is responsible for delivering materials to customer job sites, forklift operation, and maintaining the lumber yard and warehouse. Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license and a safe driving record. Responsibilities include:

• Building loads for delivery and unloading freight including lumber and building supplies
• Forklift training, certification, and operation
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized lumber yard and warehouse
• Communicating delays or discrepancies with management
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
• Safely operate the assigned commercial motor vehicle.
• Provide (annually) a true and correct copy of your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a list of violations or the certificate as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
• Be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle according to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
• Not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
• Complete or have completed a driver's road test and possess a valid and current certificate of the driver's road test, or its equivalent, per the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
• Depending on the truck and/or hauler, you may be required to have a commercial motor vehicle license.
• Depending on the truck and/or hauler, a valid and current Medical Exam certificate or card may be required.
• High school diploma or GED.
