Job summary

Canyon Market is hiring Deli Clerks to deliver exceptional service and quality products. You will handle in-person and phone inquiries, prep sandwiches, and ensure the deli area remains clean and well-stocked.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or be a candidate with prior food/retail experience, and be able to lift and stand for long periods. Evening/weekend availability is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or candidate; prior experience in food and wine service, retail, preparation, or manufacturing preferred.
• Strong product knowledge and customer service focus.
• Ability to lift 15–50 lbs; stand/walk for shifts; flexible schedule incl. evenings/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent, friendly, knowledgeable service in-person and over the phone.
• Prepare sandwiches and hot/cold deli foods for sale.
• Maintain knowledge of daily offerings, ingredients, and prep methods.
• Keep deli area clean; sanitize work station and equipment.
• Stock and present deli case; ensure pricing accuracy.
• Follow instructions from the deli manager and safety procedures.
• Operate knives, wrappers, scales, and related equipment safely.
• Rotate stock and monitor for spoilage and damages.
• Maintain logs for spoilage, transfers, and demolitions.
