This is a full-time position. The primary responsibility is to take excellent care of our customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding their expectations. This requires product knowledge, food preparation skills, sales ability, customer relations skills, and cooperation with fellow associates to create an excellent place to work and shop. Responsibilities include preparing, processing, packaging, and stocking products according to Fresh Foods Standards, providing customer service, cleaning work areas, unloading stock, and reloading salvage products.

Associates must be at least 18 years old.

Personal Skills

Exceptional interpersonal skills. Willingness to participate in and complete required training. Ability to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and associates who speak only English.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Complete company training including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service, safety, food safety, and product knowledge.

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand, walk, handle, reach, talk, hear, and smell regularly. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must lift/move up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Reach from 6-72 inches. Vision abilities include close, color, and depth perception.
