Job summary

Everyones Daycare Inc in New York is seeking a Full-Time Daycare Assistant to join our team and provide attentive supervision, implement the daily curriculum, and support overall operations. Prior daycare experience is REQUIRED, and candidates must be flexible to cover morning and evening/closing shifts as scheduled.

Responsibilities include supervising children, assisting with meals and toileting, using Brightwheel for documentation, and maintaining a clean, organized classroom.

Qualifications

• Previous professional daycare experience REQUIRED.
• Full-time and flexible availability required.
• Must be available for both morning and evening/closing shifts as scheduled.
• Must meet all required background checks, clearances, training and health requirements.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide active and attentive supervision of children at all times.
• Safely pick up and/or escort children from school, bus stops, or designated locations as assigned.
• Teach and implement the daycare’s daily curriculum and lesson plans.
• Lead age-appropriate educational activities, including reading, early literacy, numbers, colors, shapes, arts and crafts, music, sensory activities, and outdoor play.
• Actively engage and interact with children throughout the day.
• Prepare and serve simple meals and snacks according to program guidelines.
• Change diapers and assist with toileting, toilet training, handwashing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Assist with nap time, transitions, outdoor activities, and dismissal.
• Complete daily attendance and required documentation.
• Take appropriate photos and document children’s activities using Brightwheel.
• Communicate children’s daily activities and important information to families through Brightwheel as directed.
• Prepare and organize classrooms and activity areas.
• Clean and sanitize toys, tables, chairs, high chairs, bathrooms, play areas, learning materials, and frequently touched surfaces.
• Sweep, mop, take out garbage, and complete daily cleaning responsibilities.
• Assist with laundry, meal preparation, classroom supplies, inventory, and organization.
• Assist with special events, celebrations, and family-engagement activities.
• Assist with appropriate daycare social-media content when assigned.
• Follow all health, safety, OCFS, licensing, and program policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming daycare environment.
• Assist wherever needed to support the children and daily operation of the program.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
