Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, Inc. seeks to fill a full-time day shift nursing role in Tulsa, OK. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care using the nursing process as ordered by physicians to support effective patient care delivery.

The position requires a state-verified nursing diploma/degree, a valid multi-state or Oklahoma RN license, and at least 1 year of RN experience with knowledge of disease management, infection control, medication administration, and EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Has completed the basic professional curricula of a school of nursing as approved and verified by a state board of nursing, and holds or is entitled to hold a diploma or degree therefrom.

Responsibilities

• Assess, organize, and carry out patient care with consideration to patient age, cultural, and psychosocial factors.
• Assist physician with patient examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments according to established protocols.
• Administer medications via intra-muscular injections and intravenously including the administration of chemotherapy as directed by physician order.
• Coordinate patient care through the triage of patient telephone calls regarding urgency of appointments, scheduling, and hospital admissions according to established protocols.
• Promote patient population wellness by providing patient education materials pursuant to physician orders and communicating physician advice and instructions to patients.
• Document all interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed or prescribed, and appropriate medical data in patient medical record according to established protocols.
• Successfully uses IDX, EMR and other computer applications to accomplish tasks according to policies and procedures.
