Job Title: MarketStore Sales Associate (Cashier)

Starting Wage: $16.00/hr with a merit raise after training

Applicants with limited availability may not be considered. Open availability needed. Must be able to work at least 1 weekend day.

Job Summary:

The Full-Time MarketStore Sales Associate (Cashier) is responsible for the quick, efficient, and accurate checkout of customers. They must treat every customer as a guest in their own home and deliver outstanding guest service with a smile. The role involves working face-to-face with guests and maintaining a strict dress code. Candidates must provide proper documentation for employment eligibility, pass background and reference checks, drug screening, and be at least 21 years old to sell alcohol. A New Mexico alcohol server certificate is required but can be obtained after hiring.

Duties:

As a Sales Associate, responsibilities include greeting guests, assisting with purchases, operating cash register, processing payments, building displays, stocking shelves, checking in vendors, cleaning, and other duties to ensure a friendly and clean environment. Specific tasks include brewing coffee, cleaning the fountain area, stocking the deli and cooler, bagging ice, cleaning restrooms, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and outdoor maintenance such as snow removal.

Physical Demands:

• Stand for at least 4 hours regularly
• Lift/move items up to 25 pounds regularly
• Lift/move items 25-65 pounds occasionally

Other Demands:

• Follow instructions
• Be punctual and reliable
• Work well with others
• Speak English; other languages are a plus
• Willing to resolve guest concerns

Experience Required:

Experience is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge will be assessed through testing.
