Job summary

Carvana in Houston is seeking energetic Customer Advocates with at least 2 years of customer-facing experience to join the team and help reintroduce happiness into the car-buying journey. You’ll be the face of Carvana at our car vending locations and support customers through the pickup experience.

The role offers a starting rate of $19 per hour with clear progression to $21 based on performance, with a 1pm-9pm shift and six-day weeks.

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Create an amazing and memorable pickup experience for customers at the Carvana vending location.
• Complete customer paperwork and log notes in the tracking system.
• Address customer questions or minor issues related to the vending process to ensure a positive experience.
• Maintain a safe driving record and comply with Carvana driver policies.
• Possess or obtain a Notary license within 90 days of employment if required by state.

• Pay Range: $19-$21 hourly
• Starting Pay: $19/hr
• At 3 Months: $19.50/hr
• At 6 Months: $20/hr

In your first year, you can progress from $19/hr to $21/hr through our performance-based Careers Not Jobs program, which provides four merit opportunities annually. As part of this program, eligible team members can enjoy an additional $0.50 increase in their pay every 90 days.

About The Role

We're looking for enthusiastic, energetic, and self-motivated team players with at least 2 years of customer-facing experience to:

• Create an amazing and memorable pick up experience for our customers; you’ll be the face of Carvana when customers come onsite to our car Vending Machine
• Complete customer paperwork and include thorough notes in our customer tracking system
• Swiftly address any customer questions or minor technical issues related to the vending machine process, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
• Consistently drive safe and maintain a clean driving record in accordance with Carvana's CMV Driver Qualification policy.
• Candidates must have (or be able to obtain) a Notary in your local jurisdiction within the first 90 days of employment (process sponsored by Carvana). • Candidates must be able to satisfy state‑specific requirements related to access DMV/title and registration systems.
• California employees must obtain a Vehicle Verifier license within the first 90 days of employment (Process sponsored by Carvana).

General Qualifications And Requirements

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks like detailing vehicles and loading/unloading vehicles onto our Vending Machine. You will work in indoor and outdoor conditions with occasional exposure to inclement/extreme weather
• Ability to walk/stand and sustain physical activity for extended periods of time (8+ hours)
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
• Requires high and low levels of movement with the ability to reach with arms, twist, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, and squat
• Requires the grasping, carrying, lifting, pushing, and pulling of items of 50lbs.
• Frequent driving requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity. Reasonable accommodations may be granted to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
