Planned Companies in Alameda, CA is seeking janitors and custodians to provide cleaning services for common areas and bathrooms, ensuring a clean, healthy, and safe property for tenants, guests and vendors.

You’ll be responsible for floor care, dusting, sanitizing fixtures, trash removal, and assisting management on projects, while maintaining polite and observant service. This role requires physical stamina and teamwork, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Standing for extended periods is required.
• Able to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Experience with cleaning products and floor/carpet cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work in a team or independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors of various types.
• Stripping, buffing and waxing floors of various types.
• Dusting ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and furniture.
• Scrubbing and sanitizing bathroom toilets, sinks, and fixtures.
• Emptying trash cans and washing/drying windows.
• Requesting cleaning supply orders, reporting breakages and needed repairs.
• Assisting building management with all projects and other duties.
