Job summary

Rush Henrietta Central School District is seeking a Full-Time Crisis Support Teacher Aide to assist at Crane, Winslow and Vollmer elementary schools. You will support students in crisis, using de-escalation strategies, and work with staff to ensure a safe learning environment for all students.

Responsibilities include direct intervention, collaboration with the crisis response team, and providing emotional support to students in need.

DUTIES

Assists in supporting the educational and emotional needs of students, providing direct intervention and assistance to those experiencing behavioral or emotional crises. Helps maintain a safe and supportive school environment through de-escalation strategies, positive behavior reinforcement, and collaboration with staff. Serves as an active member of the school's crisis response team to help ensure timely and effective student support.

LOCATION

• Crane Elementary School (Grades K-3)
• Winslow Elementary School (Grades PreK-3)
• Vollmer Elementary School (Grades 4-6)

SALARY

$25.00 - $30.75 per hour, based on experience, plus full-time benefits per RHEA, Coalition Unit, Paraprofessionals Chapter.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma required, plus one year of experience working with children or 30 college credit hours. Must complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Training.
