Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks full-time Flex Houseparents for a married couple. You will reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students, and support their academic and emotional development.

The role includes devotions, activities planning, budgeting, and ensuring wellness, with a nine-days-on/three-days-off cycle. Two spouses must participate in individual applications for consideration.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for married couples.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Campus is smoke-free and weapon-free; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds only.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and engaging in developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
