Job summary

Ultimate Therapy is seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Autumn Lake at Patuxent River in Laurel, MD to provide practical, individualized treatment in a skilled nursing rehabilitation setting.

In this role you will implement the supervising OT's plan, help residents with daily living activities, and collaborate with the rehab team. Competitive pay of $36–$40/hour with benefits.

New graduates are welcome to apply; Maryland license and COTA certification required.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland OT license and COTA certification.
• Ability to carry out individualized treatment plans and observe resident-specific precautions.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement the supervising OT's plan of care through purposeful activities and guided practice.
• Help residents develop skills for dressing, bathing, grooming, and toileting.
• Incorporate prescribed exercises addressing upper-extremity function, coordination, and activity tolerance.
• Reinforce adaptive equipment techniques and strategies for managing tasks safely and conserving energy.
• Communicate functional progress, treatment responses, and changes in assistance needs to the OT.
• Document services accurately and collaborate with nursing and rehab colleagues to reinforce skills during daily routines.
