Job summary

Genesis HealthCare, Rio Rancho Center, in Rio Rancho, NM, is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support in-facility rehab services. The role reports to the Director of Rehab and focuses on delivering occupational therapy programs to restore and enhance patients' independence.

Responsibilities include implementing therapy plans, collaborating with the rehab team, and providing compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program (AOTA/ACOTE standards).
• Initial certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure in the state of practice as required.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy programs and activities for patients.
• Follow developed recovery plans and deliver therapy treatments.
• Collaborate with peers and refer cases to ensure high-quality care.
• Restore, reinforce, and enhance patients' physical abilities and independence.

Education

Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program graduate
