Job summary

Wesley Willows in Rockton, IL, is seeking a Full-Time Cook to prepare and cook meals at Highview in the Woodlands. The role offers a rotating schedule from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm and pays $18.00–$20.00 per hour. Join a supportive team dedicated to resident dining experiences in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, ServeSafe/Food Safety Manager certification, and at least 2 years of institutional cooking. Experience in fine dining is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent (required).
• Active ServeSafe/Food Safety Manager Certification (required).
• Must be 18 years of age to operate potentially hazardous equipment (required).
• 2 years of institutional cooking in long-term care or assisted living (required).
• Institutional cooking, with fine dining experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of foods in line with planned menus, dietary requirements and safety standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area.
• Assist with food storage and inventory.
• Support special functions and events.
• Work with dining services team to ensure quality service.
• Uphold a safe, efficient, and customer-focused kitchen environment.
