We are dedicated advocates working to improve the lives of youth. Rite of Passage Team is hiring a Cook at Meadowlark Academy in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

About Cheyenne and Meadowlark Academy

Cheyenne, the capital of Wyoming, was founded in 1867 and has a population of approximately 65,000 to 70,000, making it the largest city in Wyoming. Meadowlark Academy is an IV-E Eligible Residential Treatment Center providing male youth ages 12-18 with opportunities for positive growth through evidence-based interventions and innovative programming.

Position Details

Pay: $19/Hour

Responsibilities
  • Ensure healthy and tasty food is prepared according to all Federal, State, Local, Tribal, and national School Lunch and Breakfast Program requirements.
  • Perform duties related to food prepping and cooking.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the dining and preparation facilities, including the kitchen, dining room, storage, outside areas, garbage area, and loading docks.
  • Ensure all food preparation equipment is in good repair.
  • Maintain daily and monthly inventory logs of supplies, materials, and equipment, including safety data sheets if applicable.
Qualifications

To be considered, you should:

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have at least three years of experience in a cafeteria environment.
  • Be at least 21 years old.
  • Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
  • Pass a search of the child abuse central registry.
