Job summary

Hidden Springs of McKinney is seeking a talented Cook to join our dining team. You will help prepare fresh, high-quality meals for residents, assist in menu development, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen in a supportive senior living environment.

The role requires scratch cooking experience, a ServSafe certificate, and flexibility to cover rotating day and evening shifts, including weekends and events. English proficiency and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Scratch cooking experience in restaurant, private club, or retirement community.
• ServSafe sanitation certificate is required.
• Flexibility to adjust schedule for vacations and special events.
• Experience across all areas of a commercial kitchen operation.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Knowledge of special event catering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen.
• Assist Executive Chef with menu and recipe development.
• Assist in the receiving, rotation and storage of products.
• Identify and report food/supply needs.
• Ensure staff follow sanitation regulations and help train in garnishing and presentation.
• Prepare salads, soups, and entrées with care and quality.
• Assist in nightly cleanup and labeling.

Job Duties Include
