Job summary

POSITION SUMMARY

Under general direction, responsible for preparation of food in production quantities for incarcerated youth and facility staff. Adheres to applicable federal and state laws, ensures compliance with regulations set forth by the American Correctional Association, Department of Youth Services and the Miami County Health Department. Ensures complete setup of food trays and proper portions of food that complies with economical quantities and nutritional requirements. Maintains security of facility cooking utensils and responsible for a sanitary cooking environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

DUTIES

: Operates institutional cooking equipment. Ensures adherence to applicable laws and regulations, policies and procedures. Maintains inventory of food items and facility utensils. Prepares and submits records and reports. Serves food in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Meets all job safety requirements and standards that pertain to essential functions. Ensures compliance with all accreditation guidelines through ACA.

HOURS

8 hour shifts, 80 hours per pay, working every other weekend

$20.00 per hour
