Job summary

Essentia Health’s St. Joseph’s SJMC nutrition services team is seeking a part-time food service worker to help prepare and serve nutritious meals.

Responsibilities include cooking, baking, basic food prep, and maintaining clean, stocked service areas in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen preparation and cooking in an institutional setting is preferred.
• Serve Safe Certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer.
• Understand and follow dietary recipes, guidelines and departmental policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality, nutritious foods to customers.
• Cook and bake according to institutional recipes and standards.
• Clean and stock food service areas and maintain equipment in good condition.

Properly uses and cares for institutional food service equipment. Strictly adheres to infection control guidelines during food handling to prevent food contamination.
