Job description

Position Summary

Full‑time; 6 am‑2 pm and 11 am‑7 pm. Responsible for preparing and serving the planned menu and maintaining quality standards in the dining services department.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tasteful, nutritionally balanced meals based on pre‑planned menus.
• Prepare meals with consideration of resident preferences and food safety standards.
• Ensure pleasing plate presentation for all meals.
• Provide special diets, recognizing a resident’s right to choose.
• Complete dining room service, including setup, service, and cleanup with high hospitality standards.
• Assist with inventory and maintain supplies in all common area kitchenettes.
• Follow the sanitation schedule for kitchen, equipment, and dining room to maintain standard of sanitation and cleanliness.
• Participate in preparation for special events.
• Promote positive relationships with residents, staff and visitors.

Perform any other duties as requested within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED required. Six months of experience cooking and baking from scratch in a commercial setting preferred.
