Job description

Sunbelt Staffing, a nationwide healthcare staffing agency, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract position in Augusta, GA. The successful candidate will join our client, a leading nationwide home health agency, and provide quality patient care in a home-based setting.

Contract Details:

1. Location: Augusta, GA
2. Company: Sunbelt Staffing
3. Contract Length: 13 Weeks (with possible extension upon successful start and completion)
4. Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with on-call Monday-Thursday for potential call outs, and one weekend per month
5. Compensation: Negotiable, based on experience and territory budget
6. Mileage Reimbursement: .48c per visit; estimated 150-200 miles per week
7. Blended Pay Packages: Available for travelers
8. Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401k match after 90 days
9. Productivity: 25 points per week

Job Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement individualized care plans, coordinating with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
2. Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide skilled nursing care, including wound care, IV therapy, and catheter care.
3. Educate patients and their families about care plans, medication management, and other health-related topics.
4. Maintain accurate patient records in Homecare Homebase (HCHB), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
5. Travel to patient homes within the territory, using reliable transportation.
6. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
7. Adhere to Joint Commission standards and other regulatory requirements.

Requirements

1. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
2. Minimum of 1 year of home health experience.
3. Minimum of 1 year of hospice experience.
4. Proficiency in Homecare Homebase (HCHB).
5. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
6. Reliable transportation with valid driver's license.
7. Ability to meet Joint Commission onboarding standards upon offer.
