Job summary

Columbus Technical College is seeking a full-time Chemistry Instructor to teach lecture and laboratory courses on campus in Columbus, Georgia. Under general supervision, you will prepare lesson plans and evaluate student progress in attaining course goals while following college safety procedures.

This position is on campus with day and evening hours, requires a Master’s degree in Chemistry, and may involve teaching fall, spring, and summer terms.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a regionally accredited college.
• Experience teaching chemistry at the postsecondary level preferred.
• Ability to develop syllabi and lab safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver effective instruction for Chemistry lecture & lab classes.
• Teach fall, spring, and summer semesters.
• Ensure adherence to safety requirements in classrooms and labs.
• Evaluate students’ progress and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain course outlines, goals, and objectives.
• Prepare and maintain documentation and reports.
