Job summary

University of Miami Hospital UTower - Medical Surgical Nursing 12 South is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our full-time team on a 3 X 12-hour schedule, days, evenings, nights, weekends depending on availability. You will assist with hygiene, mobility, meals, and hydration, help patients ambulate, and report patient conditions to the assigned nurse to ensure safe, high-quality care.

A high school diploma and CNA license are required, with 0-1 year of relevant experience

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification and Licensing: Certified Nursing Assistant license.
• Experience: Minimum 0 - 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides for patients' personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves, and assisting with showers.
• Assists with meals and feeds patients, ambulates, turns, positions patients, and provides fresh water and nourishment between meals.
• Answers patients' call lights and requests promptly; maintains a safe environment and reports conditions to the nurse.
• Measures and records intake/output and vital signs; helps with walking and mobility; transports patients/equipment.

Education
