Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Nurse Aide I or II to join the 5T Surgical unit on a full-time basis. You will assist with activities of daily living, vital signs, and basic patient care while maintaining clean rooms and accurate records.

Paid benefits are offered; required to have a High School Diploma or GED, an active Nurse Aide certification, and BLS. The role includes 36 hours per week, day shifts from 7am to 7pm, with potential clerical duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as a Nurse Aide I or with the applicable state Board of Nursing as a Nurse Aide II.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Assist with personal hygiene.
• Take vital signs and measurements.
• Feed and ambulate patients.
• Maintain clean, orderly patient rooms.
• Observe and report changes in patient conditions.
• Orient patients and families to unit and safety procedures.
• Perform clerical tasks and data entry as needed.
• Maintain inventory of supply items.
• Perform Nurse Aide I/II tasks as per state guidelines.
• Conduct 12-lead ECGs and venipuncture as trained.
