Job summary

HMG Healthcare LLC in Humble, TX, seeks a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for Deerbrook Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation. The CNA delivers compassionate daily living support, assists nursing staff, and helps monitor patient conditions to promote safety and recovery.

The role requires a CNA training program completion, valid CNA certification, and ability to pass background checks and health screenings. CPR/First Aid and hospital/long-term care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited CNA training program.
• Valid CNA certification/license as required by the state.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and patient care techniques.
• Ability to pass background checks and health screenings including immunizations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred.
• Experience in hospital, nursing home, or long-term care settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with EHR systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Support patients with mobility needs, including transferring, repositioning, and ambulation.
• Provide nutritional support by assisting with feeding and ensuring proper hydration.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient status and changes in condition.
• Assist with basic medical procedures under supervision of nurses or licensed staff.
• Document patient care activities accurately in accordance with healthcare regulations.
