Job summary

West Point Community Living Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dedicated team in West Point, Mississippi. This full-time role offers shifts from 3pm–11pm or 11pm–7am, with emphasis on compassionate resident care and adherence to infection prevention protocols.

You will perform direct care, monitor residents, document care activities, and coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges in a supportive Transitional Care Unit.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification in good standing required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular direct care rounds on assigned unit to monitor activity and ensure residents' needs are met, including assisting with activities of daily living.
• Maintain positive relationships with residents and patients.
• Notify Charge Nurse of any resident/patient change in condition.
• Obtain vital signs, weights, and heights as instructed by charge nurse.
• Complete all assigned duties and documentation as required.
• Coordinate and prepare for new admissions, transfers, discharge of residents in the Transitional Care Unit.
• Maintain safe and clean work area.
• Ensure infection prevention and control practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
