Job summary

Lakewood Counseling Service in Lees Summit, Missouri seeks a Clinical Psychologist to provide advanced mental health services in individual and group settings. Primary duties include crisis intervention, assessment and diagnosis, psychotherapy, psychological testing, evaluations, and consultations.

The incumbent develops strategies to meet the diverse needs of the population served, interfaces with internal and external providers, and may contribute to supervision and educational activities

Qualifications

• Ph.D./Psy.D. in Psychology is required.
• Licensed in Missouri as a Psychologist or license-eligible.
• Knowledge of psychological terminology, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric disorders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational ability, and social facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention, assessment and diagnosis, short-term stabilization, psychotherapy, psychological testing, evaluations, and consultations.
• Provide clinical supervision, educational presentations, and research activities as needed.
• Interface with internal and external service providers to coordinate care.
