Job summary

Stepful College in St. Louis is seeking a full-time Clinical Instructor to lead PN and RN program clinicals, supervise hands-on rotations, and guide student performance. You will help shape curriculum and ensure compliance with Missouri nursing standards, collaborating with faculty and clinical partners.

The role requires a Master's in nursing, MO RN licensure, and 2+ years teaching in RN education, with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional weekends. Competitive rewards included.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Missouri RN license (or compact state license eligible for Missouri endorsement).
• Master's degree in nursing is required.
• 2+ years of experience as clinical faculty in an RN nursing education program.
• 2+ years of professional RN experience.
• Ability to teach across modalities: didactic, skills lab, and clinical.
• Familiarity with Missouri State Board of Nursing requirements and accreditation standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with diverse adult learners and collaborate with faculty, staff, and clinical partners.
• Availability Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend availability as schedules require.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical instruction — supervise students during clinical rotations at partner healthcare facilities throughout the St. Louis area
• Support student success — monitor student progress, provide timely and constructive feedback, and develop remediation plans for students who need additional support
• Contribute to curriculum — collaborate with program leadership and fellow faculty to review, refine, and continuously improve PN and RN program curriculum
• Maintain compliance — uphold Missouri State Board of Nursing standards and support program accreditation requirements through accurate documentation and consistent adherence to program policies
• Engage the community — build and maintain positive relationships with clinical partner facilities, preceptors, and other external stakeholders
• Participate in faculty life — attend faculty meetings, contribute to program evaluation, and support the broader academic mission of Stepful College

The opportunity:

Stepful College, an ABHES-accredited institution, is seeking an experienced, passionate nursing educator to join our faculty as an Clinical Instructor with our Practical Nursing (PN) and Registered Nursing (RN) programs. This is a permanent, full-time position — an exceptional opportunity for experienced nursing educators, including those currently teaching in adjunct roles, who are ready to bring their expertise to a full-time academic home.

As a Full-Time Clinical Faculty member, you’ll bring your nursing expertise directly to the bedside — supervising and guiding practical nursing students through hands‑on clinical rotations at our partner healthcare facilities throughout the St. Louis area.

What you’ll do:

The target base salary range for this opportunity is $80,000 - $95,000, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including equity and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, internal pay equity and other relevant business considerations.
