Job summary

Erie Community College’s North Campus in Williamsville is seeking a Technical Assistant - Clinical Lab Tech to support faculty in laboratories and classrooms, set up equipment, and tutor students in developmental centers.

Under supervision of the Department Chair, you will handle inventory, prepare solutions and media, and assist with testing and demonstrations. The role emphasizes reliability, accuracy and commitment to diversity.

Qualifications

Completion of sixty (60) semester credit hours of study at a regionally accredited college or university.
Knowledge of Chemistry and solution preparation with experience in clinical laboratory science, solution making, and microbiological media preparation.

Responsibilities

Assist instructor in classroom and laboratory by demonstrating apparatus, equipment, and teaching aids.
May administer and proctor tests under direction of instructor or faculty.
Work with students in use of technical equipment in classroom and laboratory.
Tutor students on an individual basis in classroom, laboratory or learning center.
Maintain academic records and prepare reports as required.
Requisition, maintain and issue supplies and equipment to students and faculty.
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
Prepare solutions and microbiological media.
