Bluestem Communities is seeking a full-time Chaplain to provide compassionate spiritual care and emotional support to residents, families, and staff, aligned with our Christian mission and values. The role fosters an inclusive environment where individuals of diverse faith backgrounds feel valued and connected during aging and life transitions.

You will lead worship services, pastoral care, grief support, and opportunities for spiritual growth while collaborating with care teams to promote

Qualifications

• Seminary degree or graduate degree in caring ministry.
• Ministerial credentials in good standing with a recognized ecclesiastical body.
• CPCE unit (1 unit) or 3 years of pastoral ministry preferred.
• Ability to listen actively and remain calm in complex situations.
• Understanding of Anabaptism and Mennonite/Church of the Brethren history, values, and theology.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care and emotional support to residents, families, and staff.
• Lead worship services, Bible studies, prayer groups, and spiritual enrichment activities.
• Offer grief support, pastoral counseling, and bereavement services.
• Coordinate volunteer worship, music, and visitation ministries; recruit and supervise volunteers.
• Collaborate with care teams, local pastors, and community faith partners.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA; participate in leadership and ethics initiatives.
