The Neville Center at Fresh Pond is a Joint Commission accredited skilled nursing and rehab community located at 640 Concord Avenue, Cambridge, MA. We seek a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. shift.

Compensation ranges from $22.00 to $25.50 per hour, plus differentials for evenings/nights and weekends. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is available for full-time hires. As a CNA, you will care for residents per care plans, assist with ADLs, promote independence,

Qualifications

• CNA certification required for Massachusetts.
• Ability to read, write and understand English; additional languages are helpful.
• Basic math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to residents as directed and per the plan of care.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and dependent care.
• Use CNA techniques to promote independence (mobility, ROM, feeding, bathing, dressing, bed mobility).
• Apply infection control and fire/disaster policies as needed.
• Participate in continuing education and in-service training annually.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Neville Center at Fresh Pond is a Joint Commission accredited, American Health Care Association Silver Quality Award-winning short-term rehab, long-term care and skilled nursing community.

We are conveniently located at 640 Concord Avenue in Cambridge, on the Cambridge/Belmont line by the beautiful Fresh Pond Parkway, on the MBTA bus line and close to the Alewife Red Line Station.

We are dedicated to our residents and team members - come join us! We are seeking highly motivated and qualified full-time Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our nursing department on the 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. shift.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.50 per hour base, based on experience, plus shift differentials of $2.50 per hour for weekday evenings and nights and weekend days, and $3.00 per hour for weekend evenings and nights.

Sign-on bonus: $1,500 for full-time hires, paid under a written sign-on bonus agreement.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, your essential job responsibilities include:

• Provide care to residents as directed and as outlined in the plan of care.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and/or provide all necessary care for residents who are dependent.
• Use nursing assistant techniques that promote as much individual independence as possible, including walking, transfer assistance, range of motion, eating, bathing, dressing and bed mobility.
• Apply knowledge of infection control and fire and disaster policies as needed.
• Participate in continuing education and meet the requirements for annual in-service participation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Massachusetts.
• Ability to read, write and understand English; other languages are helpful.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Weekend rotation is required for all direct care staff.
