Job summary

The Neville Center at Fresh Pond in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/C.N.A.) for a full-time 7 AM - 3 PM shift. You will provide direct resident care and support activities of daily living.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Massachusetts CNA certification.
• Able to read, write and understand English.
• Has basic math skills including add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to participants as directed and as outlined in the plan of care.
• Assists participants with activities of daily living and/or provide all necessary care for participants who are dependent.
• Utilizes nursing assistant techniques to promote independence (walking, transfer assistance, ROM, eating, bathing, dressing, bed mobility).
• Applies knowledge of infection control, fire and disaster policies as needed.
• Participates in continuing education and meets annual in-service requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As the Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) some of your essential job responsibilities include:

• Provides care to participants as directed and as outlined in the plan of care.
• Assists participants with activities of daily living and/or provide all necessary care for participants who are dependent.
• Utilizes nursing assistant techniques to provide care to participants in a manner that promotes as much individual independence as possible. Such techniques include walking, transfer assistance, range of motion, eating, bathing, dressing and bed mobility.
• Applies knowledge of infection control, fire and disaster policies as needed.
• Participates in continuing education and meets the requirements for annual in-service participation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS for the Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA)

• A current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the Massachusetts.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English. Other languages are helpful.
• Has basic math skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
