Job summary

Fort Thomas Independent Schools is seeking a School Bus Driver for a full-time position starting immediately. The driver will safely transport students, staff and others to and from school, field trips and activities on designated routes.

Required are a CDL class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsements, a DMV license, and a High School Diploma or GED. Prior bus-driving experience is preferred; work is 6.5 hours per day across 187 contract days per year.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsements required.
• DMV license must be current.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful prior bus driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives a school bus on designated routes during school days.
• Transports students, teachers and others on field trips and activities.
• Inspects bus daily for safe operation and cleanliness.
• Cleans and refuels bus as needed.
• Ensures working communication device before each trip.
• Reports mechanical issues or accidents promptly.
• Maintains order and discipline according to district policies.
• Keeps route timing and reports as required.
