Job description

Essential Functions:

1. Customer Service
2. Provides SMART customer service by following Lowe's policies, procedures, and programs.
3. Assists customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
4. Responds promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when needed.
5. Expresses genuine appreciation to customers.
6. Communicates information regarding stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties related to Lowe’s programs.
7. Contacts customers about delivery or coordinates with drivers for delivery calls.

In-stock

1. Plans delivery activities, prints loading tickets, and ensures on-time delivery.
2. Prepares merchandise, builds and bands loads, and loads trucks within payload limits.
3. Inspects products before delivery or assisting customer with loading.
4. Verifies invoice items with loaded quantities, descriptions, and model numbers.

Clean and Safe Stores

1. Ensures loads are safe, secure, and compliant with DOT regulations.
2. Updates delivery and route status in the system for tracking.
3. Unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery.
4. Performs vehicle inspections, reports issues, and maintains cleanliness and repairs of delivery vehicles and equipment.
5. Completes DOT reporting to maintain certification and compliance.
6. Detects security risks like shoplifting, communicates concerns promptly.
7. Maintains store cleanliness and organization per standards.
8. Ensures a safe work environment by conducting safety reviews and noting hazards.
9. Adheres to safety requirements such as safety cables, aisle blockers, and safety devices.
10. Operates store equipment as needed based on role and department.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Class A CDL License (required for multi-unit CMV locations) or Class B CDL License with air brake endorsement (for single-unit CMV locations).
• Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment.
• Ability to pass MVR screening.
• Ability to obtain necessary sales licenses or registrations.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations.

Preferences:

• 1 year of semi-truck/trailer driving experience or certification.
• 6 months of in-home delivery or retail customer service experience.
• 3 months operating a forklift or Moffett for onloading/offloading.
