Essential Functions:

1. Customer Service
2. Provides SMART customer service by following Lowe's policies, procedures, and programs.
3. Assists customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
4. Responds promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when needed.
5. Expresses sincere appreciation to customers.
6. Communicates product information, including stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties related to Lowe’s programs.
7. Contacts customers about deliveries or coordinates with truck drivers for delivery calls.

In-stock

1. Plans delivery activities, prepares loading tickets, and delivers merchandise on schedule.
2. Builds and bands delivery loads, loads trucks within payload limits according to delivery orders.
3. Inspects products before loading for delivery or assisting customers with loading.
4. Verifies invoice items against loaded items by description, quantity, and model numbers.

Clean and Safe Stores

1. Ensures loads are safe, secure, and compliant with DOT regulations.
2. Updates delivery and route status in the system for tracking.
3. Unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery.
4. Conducts vehicle inspections, maintains cleanliness and repairs for delivery vehicles and equipment.
5. Completes DOT reporting to maintain certification and compliance.
6. Detects and reports shoplifting, theft, and security risks.
7. Maintains store and work area cleanliness and organization.
8. Maintains a safe work environment, conducting safety reviews and noting hazards.
9. Follows safety requirements relevant to the role, including using safety devices and procedures.
10. Operates store equipment as needed, depending on the department.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Class A CDL License (for locations with multi-unit CMV) or Class B CDL License with air brake endorsement (for single-unit CMV).
• Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment.
• Ability to pass MVR screening.
• Ability to obtain required sales licensure or registration.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations.

Preferences:

• 1 year experience driving semi-trucks/trailers or certification from a driving school.
• 6 months experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service.
• 3 months experience operating a forklift or Moffett for loading/unloading.
