Essential Functions:

1. Customer Service

• Provide SMART customer service at all times through the execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
• Assist customers by understanding their needs and helping locate, demonstrate, select, carry, and load merchandise.
• Respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when necessary.
• Show sincere appreciation to customers.
• Communicate information regarding stock, special order merchandise, features, benefits, applications, and warranties related to Lowe’s programs.
• Coordinate with customers and truck drivers regarding deliveries.

In-stock

• Plan delivery activities, prepare loading tickets, and deliver merchandise on schedule.
• Pull merchandise, build and band delivery loads, and load trucks within payload limits.
• Inspect products before loading or assisting customers with loading.
• Verify invoice descriptions, items, and model numbers against loaded quantities.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Ensure loads are safe, secure, and compliant with DOT regulations.
• Update delivery and route status in tracking systems.
• Unload, install, and test appliances upon delivery.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections, report issues, and maintain cleanliness and repairs of delivery vehicles.
• Complete DOT reporting to maintain certification and compliance.
• Detect security risks such as shoplifting and theft, and report promptly.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization through housekeeping standards.
• Maintain a safe work environment, conducting safety reviews and noting hazards.
• Operate store equipment as needed, depending on role and department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Class A CDL License (required for multi-unit CMV locations) or Class B CDL License with air brake endorsement (for single-unit CMV locations).
• Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment.
• Ability to pass MVR screening.
• Ability to obtain necessary sales-related licensure or registration.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations.

Preferences:

• 1 year experience driving semi-trucks/trailers or certification from a driving school.
• 6 months experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service.
• 3 months experience operating a forklift or Moffett for onloading/offloading.
