Essential Functions:
- Customer Service
- Provides excellent customer service by following Lowe's policies, procedures, and programs.
- Assists customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
- Responds promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when needed.
- Expresses genuine appreciation to customers.
- Communicates information regarding stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties related to Lowe’s programs.
- Contacts customers about deliveries or coordinates with truck drivers to inform customers.
In-stock
- Plans delivery activities, prints loading tickets, and ensures on-time delivery.
- Prepares merchandise, builds, and bands loads, and loads trucks within payload limits.
- Inspects products before loading or assisting with loading.
- Verifies invoice items against loaded quantities, descriptions, and model numbers.
Clean and Safe Stores
- Ensures loads are safe, secure, and compliant with DOT regulations.
- Updates delivery and route status in tracking systems.
- Unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery.
- Performs vehicle inspections, maintains cleanliness, and reports repairs for delivery vehicles and equipment.
- Completes DOT reporting to maintain certification and compliance.
- Detects security risks like shoplifting and reports them promptly.
- Maintains store and work area cleanliness and organization.
- Follows safety protocols, including hazard identification and use of safety devices.
- Operates store equipment as needed, depending on the role.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Class A CDL License (required for multi-unit CMV locations).
- Class B CDL License with air brake endorsement (required for single-unit CMV locations).
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one.
- Ability to pass MVR screening.
- Ability to obtain necessary sales-related licenses or registrations.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations.
Preferences:
- 1 year of experience driving semi-trucks/trailers or certification from a driving school.
- 6 months of experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service.
- 3 months of experience operating a forklift or Moffett for onloading/offloading.
